When FEMA remaps a community, it is an opportunity to increase flood insurance sales and help grow your flood book of business.
Flood zones, as defined by FEMA's mapping efforts, will continue to determine if a property will require flood insurance by the lender with Risk Rating 2.0 (RR 2.0). FEMA also reports that newly mapped discounts will still be applied.
